Magdalen Braden has been a passionate reader of romance fiction for many decades and was an early enthusiast for e-readers. She mines that knowledge of “Romlandia” as she starts her writing career with The Blackjack Quartet, a series of sexy contemporary romances set in Philadelphia’s legal community.

The first book in this series–Love in Reality–is now available to read. Blackjack and Moonlight (book 3, due August 2013) was a finalist in the Romance Writers of America® (RWA) 2012 Golden Heart® contest.

Magdalen studies creative writing at the Stonecoast MFA program and writes about the romance publishing biz at the Promantica blog. She is the president of her local RWA chapter, the Southern Tier Authors of Romance (STAR).
