Maggie Brink

I am a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison majoring in Strategic Communications and Spanish. I am involved in many organizations on campus including the sorority Alpha Chi Omega and the professional business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi.

I chose to look at domestic abuse and its prevention services on campus because I think the issue is extremely important. With its recent attention in the media due to high-profile cases such as that of Ray Rice, I thought it would be the perfect time to analyze how it affects Dane County. Everyone will experience domestic abuse in some way during their lifetime. It continues to remain a large part of violent crimes in the United States.
