Maggie Farrand

Maggie Farrand has more than five years of communications experience, focused primarily on web-based and strategic corporate communication.

Beginning as an intern at Counterpart, she grew to play a vital role in developing written and multimedia content, managing the external and internal websites, assisting in nongovernmental funding opportunities and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the four-person department. She was also responsible for winning six prestigious communications awards.

In August 2013, she continued her career at Creative Associates International, promoting their work through web content and mixed media. She produced multimedia packages (video, feature stories, photography and blogs) from Afghanistan and Morocco.

In June 2014, Maggie accepted a posistion as Online Communications Specialist at Pathfinder International. As part of the four-person Communications Team, she manages the organization's many social media platforms, writes online content and is currently initiating a staff blogging training program.

Previously, as a four-year starter on the Georgetown Division I field hockey team, she honed her ability to work as part of a team and manage her time, skills she has successfully transferred to her professional experience. Still today, she remains connected to the Georgetown field hockey community, serving as Co-President of the Alumnae Group.
