Maggie Meng is a violinist and violist from Beijing, China. She has won numerous international competitions, including the Grand Prize International Competition in Vienna, the Golden Classical Music International Competition in New York City, and Mu Phi Epsilon International Competition. Maggie also won the Outstanding Performance Award at the China String Music Festival, and at the 1st Nan Chang String Music Festival in China. As a soloist, she has performed in many esteemed concert halls, such as Musikverein Wien and Carnegie Hall.

Maggie attended the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. In 2011, she was awarded a full scholarship in string performance to study at Shenandoah
Conservatory with Doris Lederer. She toured Spain with the Shenandoah Conservatory Orchestra, visiting the cities of Madrid and Zaragoza. Maggie later
received her Master of Music in String Performance from Boston University, under Steven Ansell. Since earning her master’s degree, she has played with the New Hampshire Symphony and Cape Symphony and is currently on staff at the Artis School of Music and The California Conservatory of Music.

As an orchestra musician, Maggie has been playing for over 10 years. Since 2012, she has greatly enjoyed working as a music teacher offering violin, viola and
beginner piano lessons. She loves developing students' love for music and sharing her love for music with them. With her experience and education, she can easily assess what each student needs and how to help them achieve their goals.
