Maggie Wood

Hello, I’m Maggie. I’m a student living at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. I am currently a sophomore, studying business administration and hoping to eventually minor in marketing. Even though Plymouth State wasn't my first choice, it was really a blessing in disguise. I grew up in a small town called Antrim, New Hampshire. Its my home and I wouldn't change a thing about it, I lived there my whole life and I truly love it. Personally, I was a stubborn high school student. I was able to just barely get by but for some reason I still really wanted to try to go to a university. I wanted to get out of New England because during the time I really believed I was sick of it. I toured Kent State in Ohio and feel in love. But to really no surprise (because of my high school gpa and SAT) I didn't get accepted. I also toured Clemson in South Carolina but didn't fall in love. At the time, I wasn't even letting any colleges in New England have a shot. But then, my mom convinced me to tour Plymouth. Little to say I feel in love. With the campus, the people, and overall environment. It just felt right. Now I look back and thank God I didn't move 13 hours away. I would hate to be so far away from home and family. I created so many new friendships here and found out so many passions I didn't even know about myself. I still got about 2 more years to go but I'm expecting myself to accomplish a lot.
