"Magista's feeling for honey is sort of inspiring: part of the reason I now have this inexplicable interest in honey is because of his intense, ardent, nearly obsessive love of the stuff. He can talk for hours, and frequently does, about how various bee species behave when they're chilled out, and how unsentimentally they kick mutant bees out of the hive, and what plants turn them on the most. Don't even get him started on Colony Collapse Syndrome." - Josh Ozersky, Esquire 2014
Founded in 2011 by Damian Magista, Bee Local harvests and sources sustainably-produced, terroir-based honey varieties from specific neighborhoods and regions throughout the United States. These unique offerings have complex flavor profiles that reflect the distinct flora, fauna, and forage of each neighborhood and region.
