Watch my reel

After working in the IT industry for many years, it's time to take a break and fulfill a long-time dream: embarking on a sabbatical journey with my wife. This will be a period of exploration, peregrinations, with intrinsic and extrinsic experiences both within ourselves and in the world around us, as we travel through Brazil and around the world. We have so many plans that we anticipate this journey will take at least a year or more to complete. You can find more information about my professional experience on my LinkedIn profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/magnotorres.

Apart from my work, I am happily married and share a passion for dancing with my wife. However, we're far from professional, in various styles, including Forró, Zouk, Salsa, Bachata, Soltinho/Twist, Bolero, and Samba. We enjoy socializing with friends over a good beer, especially Tripel and IPA, and dancing to genres such as rock, pop, dance, and electronic music. We appreciate good wines for ourselves or in more intimate gatherings, watching movies and series, playing games, and spending time with our family in São Paulo whenever possible. We love traveling and learning about new cultures.

I believe that working towards a goal that brings meaning and recognition, while enjoying the journey traced to achieve it, is the most essential part of any challenge. Only by being passionate about our professional or personal goals can we orchestrate tasks achieving a "flow state" where we don't realize the effort expended, and success becomes a natural response. To do so, we must balance our lives between leisure time with friends, family, work, and ourselves. This is the biggest challenge, but the reward is a satisfying, happy, and fulfilling life.

My rules:
Don't ignore your dreams;
Don't work too much - drink with friends! =)
Say what you think;
Cultivate friendships;
Be happy!

Quotes I love:

Definition of hell: The last day you have on earth, the person you become will meet the person you could have become.‎

AI: The robots are here to help. They promise.

If your next life(and all infinite others) were an exact repetition of this one, would you be doing what you are doing right now?

Today is the most important day of our lives

Carpe diem quam minimum credula poster

Trying to find the meaning of life with words is like trying to sing a song by describing it. You’re missing the point.
