THENDO MAGOBA
Student and Teacher in AUCKLAND PARK
I am Thendo Magoba. As an enthusiastic and devoted student teacher, my primary focus is on nurturing a passion for learning and making a positive difference in the lives of my students. Currently in my fourth and final year pursuing a Bachelor of Education degree with a specialization in English and History for Senior phase and FET at the University of Johannesburg, I have gained a solid understanding of educational theory and pedagogy.
Central to my teaching philosophy is the belief that each student is a unique individual with their own distinct learning style and strengths. To foster a dynamic and inclusive classroom atmosphere, I am dedicated to promoting curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity. I strive to create a safe space where all students feel valued and empowered in their educational journey by tailoring my lessons to cater to their diverse needs.
My Classroom Journey
During my second year of practical experience in semester one, I had the wonderful opportunity to work alongside passionate and experienced educators at Nngweni Secondary School. It was an invaluable experience where I actively engaged in lesson planning, managing the classroom, and assessing students. This hands-on experience further ignited my love for teaching, and I felt privileged to be a part of shaping young minds.
Embracing Technology in the Classroom
In today's rapidly evolving world, I recognize the significance of technology in education. I've become adept at integrating various educational technology tools to enhance the learning experience for my students. Whether it's through interactive presentations or utilizing online collaboration platforms, I strive to use technology effectively to engage and prepare my students for the digital age.
Dreaming of Making a Difference
My ultimate goal as an educator is to leave a lasting impact on the lives of my students and contribute positively to the field of education. As I step into the role of a full-fledged educator, I am excited to explore opportunities to teach grade 10-12, English language and literature, and continue learning and evolving both personally and professionally.
