Maha Taibah

Maha Taibah is trailblazing career paths for women in Saudi Arabia. Holding one of the highest positions in Saudi government, as Vice Governor for Strategic Initiatives at the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, she’s charged with raising women’s awareness of flexible career options that fit with their professional lifecycle, talents, and aspirations. Concurrently, Maha serves as an advisor to the Minister of Labor where she’s focused on educating, employing, and empowering Saudi youth through driving technology and human capital initiatives that build capacity and also furthering strategic partnerships with the private sector, government, and the global community at large. Previously, she led the Human Capital Development Sector at SAGIA, an organization committed to fostering investment opportunities that promote academic excellence and a globally competitive workforce. While quick wins are uncommon in the complexity of training and education programs on a national scale, Maha has influenced a new vision with her inventiveness and thought leadership.

Maha consciously began her journey of opening options for enrichment as a young girl sitting in a rigid classroom without the opportunity to express what was on her mind. Having started her education abroad, she had a different experience and resolved to be an agent of positive change. After earning her master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Maha returned to the very same school she attended as a child to lead reform.

Having the insight and courage to articulate the truth of issues and find common ground is a large part of why Maha is well respected in startup environments. Always seeking creative ways to enhance leadership, she designs government sector programs; harnesses the talents of the creative industry; and promotes a “youth for youth” modus of operandi.

As a model of advancing opportunities for women and youth, Maha is often turned to for her caring career counsel and she strives to extend her own horizons and global network. She loves conceiving fun events that expose her teams and close family to new experiences and ways of thinking.
