Mahawa Kamara, is a British- Sierra Leonean business woman, social worker, skincare specialist, and founder and creative soap-maker of The Soap Connoisseur, an organic toiletry and lifestyle brand specialising in creating handmade soaps and natural body care products. The Soap Connoisseur was established by Mahawa Kamara, who after trying many commercial products couldn’t treat her daughter’s dry and sensitive skin. With this frustration, she started making her own products with natural and organic ingredients in her kitchen. After experimenting with several formulation taught herself traditional soap making, and soon found herself producing soaps and bathing products for family friends. As, the demand grew The Soap Connoisseur was born, creating natural toiletry products that nurture the skin. Using her transferable skills of supervising and managing Case work within a Multidisciplinary team, as a qualified Social Worker, into starting and building The Soap Connoisseur.
