Mukudzei Prosper Mahembe

Mukudzei Prosper Mahembe is a 27-year-old Zimbabwean entrepreneur and accountant with a passion for business and innovation. Born with a natural flair for numbers, Prosper pursued a Bachelor of Accountancy Honours degree from the University of Zimbabwe, graduating with a 2.1 degree in 2023.

Prosper's entrepreneurial journey began while he was still at university. In 2020, he founded MGI Poultry Solutions, an integrated poultry production company that specialized in hatching chicks, broiler production, egg production, and poultry-related products and services. Although he had to temporarily halt operations in 2022 due to academic commitments, Prosper plans to resume operations in 2026.

Undeterred, Prosper went on to establish MGI Trading Group in 2021, a wholesale and retail enterprise that deals in groceries and household goods. Starting with an initial investment of just $50, Prosper has grown the business to a value of approximately $5,000 by 2024. Despite the challenges, MGI Trading Group has expanded to operate two branches, a testament to Prosper's entrepreneurial prowess.

In 2024, Prosper added another venture to his portfolio, Elegant Furniture Supplies, a company that manufactures all types of furniture. While navigating the ups and downs of the industry, Prosper remains committed to driving growth and innovation.

As a qualified accountant, Prosper is eager to leverage his expertise to support small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Zimbabwe. He plans to formally register MGI Consultants Zimbabwe in 2026, a business consultancy firm that will offer taxation, auditing, accounting services, and more.

Throughout his journey, Prosper has demonstrated remarkable resilience, adaptability, and entrepreneurial spirit. As he continues to pursue his passions and grow his business empire, Prosper is undoubtedly one to watch in the world of Zimbabwean entrepreneurship.
