Mahendra Singh, was born in India, the birth place of Yoga! Mahendra grew up in a family where his mother is a devoted yoga practitioner. Under her guidance, Mahendra had his yoga study in school and developed a strong spiritual attachment with yoga. During his postgraduate studies in Australia, Mahendra had an opportunity to experience SHAOLIN life through meditating and practicing KungFu with Shaolin monks at a Shaolin Temple, Australia in Cabramatta, NSW for several years.

Mahendra has an enthusiasm for Chinese Kung Fu. Shaolin stories and history based movies starred by Bruce Lee, Jet Li and Jacky Chan inspired his study on literature and documentaries about Chinese culture, history and Shaolin philosophy. After learning about Bodhisattva of Shaolin and its Indian heritage, Mahendra find himself even closer to Shaolin.

Mahendra Singh served as an IT Director for the Shaolin Temple Australasia Incorporated, an Association incorporated in April 2011 under the Association Incorporation Act 2009. As a committee member his role was to assist with setting up of online presence of SHAOLIN Temple including developing and launching a social-networking site of the Association and helping monks with their computer requirements and helped monks with computer work at the Temple.

Since graduating as an Electrical Engineer in 1991 Mahendra has worked for several government and corporate organizations including with IBM during Sydney Olympic 2000 in the position of IT Specialist – Technical Support. Mahendra has excess of 20 years of experience as an IT Consultant and information Architect including network security in Australia and abroad. In year 2000, Mahendra founded an IT consulting company in Australia and his firm provides IT Consulting including but not limited to Systems design, wireframe, systems maintenance and information architect to a range of Australian and overseas clients.
