My name is Mahmoud Abdelaziz Shalaby. I am 23 years old. I am a fresh Graduate from Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Suez university (oil refining and petrochemicals Department).
I am an ambitious person who aims at participating in great projects where I can use my talents and skills. Thus, I can grow and positively affect the society and that is why I apply for every single available opportunity to achieve this goal. I am also looking forward to communicating with the experts within the field that technically specialized in oil refining and petrochemical engineering or even serving soft skills side to achieve the best.
I have a long volunteering experience starting by joining my faculty's student Union and I took a position as the cultural activities’ president. I also managed to occupy a high board position at European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) Suez University Student Chapter. Later, I joined AIESEC Suez and traveled in an exchange program to Malaysia for six weeks in summer 2016. There, I worked on the techcycletech4all project and my task was to spread the issue of electronic waste management in Malaysian schools, universities and streets. The following year, I was selected as the International Relations manager of the International Petroleum and Geosciences Conference (IPGC) 2017 in Egypt. I succeeded in bringing four international students to the conference and being the chairperson of the conference.
I was also a member of the team that organized the FIVB Volleyball Men's U23 World Championship 2017 in Egypt as well as volunteering as an English development Instructor at the Step Suez Organization. Moreover, I worked as a translator at The Cairo Literature Festival 2018. Finally, I was one of the Co-Founders of IEEE Suez University Student Branch and I was the Vice President of the Branch.
In summer 2018, I participated in The African Ambassadors Program that was held in the East African countries (Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya). In November 2018, I got elected in the position of the president of the student union of the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Suez university.
In summer 2019, I participated in the team that organized Total Africa Cup of Nations 2019 in Egypt as well as volunteering in YLY (youth leading youth) – Ministry of youth and sports as an OC member.
