Dr. Mahr Elder boasts more than 10 years of experience at Novato Community Hospital and Kaiser Hospital in Novato, California serving as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. In addition to focusing on facial trauma and TMJ disorders, Dr. Mahr Elder also concentrates on orthognathic surgery and dental implantology. He is also a member of the Marin County and Vallejo County Dental Associations.
He completed both his undergraduate and graduate work in San Francisco, California at the University of the Pacific, eventually earning a doctor of dental surgery degree. He then went on Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where he received his medicinae doctor (doctor of medicine) and completed his residency at the University of Detroit/Henry Ford Hospital.
Elder maintains an active lifestyle as an avid swimmer and runner, while enjoying the study of European history in his spare time. He is also an avid follower of the Bay Area professional sports scene, professing fandom for both the Golden State Warriors and the San Francisco 49ers.
