I work as senior researcher at Finnish Environment Institute SYKE. As member of SYKE's Sustainable Urbanisation Programme team, I facilitate co-creation and use of information on urban development together with SYKE's experts and other knowledge producers and users. As communication manager I build bridges between science and the society. My interests include collaborative governance, social sustainability, civil society, civic involvement and self-organisation.
For example, in a recent project we helped public sector organizations update their practices to better support and make use of the potentials arising by new forms of civic activism and collaborative economy.
Earlier I have worked as project manager, planner and researcher in Finnish public, non-governmental and private organizations including the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities, Helsinki Neighborhoods Association, Finnish Association of Urban Planning, Finnish Forest Research Institute and several departments of University of Helsinki.
