A girl, a son, an orange cat named Sushi, and three orange fish. Guess what is my favourite colour?
These are very personal things of a 28 year old single mother, so please do not judge me for them. I think that I am a nice person, a good mother, and a good friend. So get to know me!
I am first from Canton China, then Beijing, and came alone to Canada when I was 16 years old to study at the University of Toronto in the graduate physics department.
I wrote the entrance exam for Beijing University when I was 12 and graduated when I was 14. That was the year that my mother died, so I helped raise my young brother until my father got remarried. I came in 3rd place for the Advancement of Science Award in my second year there. My father is in the PLAAF (Air Force). My mother was a nurse.
I completed my Master Degree in Toronto when I was 18 and was going to begin my PhD, but I became pregnant and when the father left I had to raise my son by myself so I began working in the I.T. field in order to take care of us.
I am to start my PhD in 2014. Better late than never!
I have a good life in Canada and want to stay here. I have my citizenship now and have much to be happy for.
I have some trouble in my life of course. I have Asperger's Disorder and OCD which is a big problem. I depend on my friends and my co-workers a lot and they are very kind to me and help me a lot. Things happen out of my routine are very hard for me and my OCD makes it very hard for me to go outside my condo or anywhere other than my office. To go anywhere else I need my son and maybe my best friend.
My hobbies are math-chess-cartoons-reading-listening to Oasis-Japanese and Korean Dramas and when it is not busy and my friend comes with me I swim in the pool in the basement of my condominium. Oh. I have a gold medal in pie eating. Lemon or Blueberry.
