I joined the US ARMY as a wire systems installer in 1983.I went to FT. JACKSON,SC for basic training and then did my advanced individual training at FT.GORDON,GA.I then was sent to HANAU,GERMANY ,HUTIER KASERNE working for the 3rd Army division at HHB DIVARTY.I went there as a pv1 and left as a specialist e-4 promotable.I then was sent to FT.HOOD ,TX assigned to the 3RD SIGNAL BRIGADE with the 278TH SIGNAL COMPANY and was honorably discharged in 1987.I then did some diffucult labor jobs such as roofing in hot socal till i got a job as a letter carrier for the us postal service in 1988.I then decided to continue my military service by joining the us army reserves in 1989.I was assigned to the 728th transportation company at camp pendleton,ca as a wire systems installer.I changed my military occupational speciality three times while there.88k watercraft operator,88h cargo handling specialist and then 88m motor vehicle operator.I was deployed to iraq/kuwait during operation enduring freedom/iraqi freedom from 2003 to 2004.In 2005 ,i joined the us air forces reserves at MARCH AF BASE IN SOCAL for a short period as a 2t1 (vehicle operator)and transferred to the 939LRS AT PORTLAND,OR in late 05.I later retired there in 08 and is now a proud member of the retired reserves.I retired with 3274 retirement points and the listed awards and decorations.Air Force Commendation Medal,Army Commendation Medal,AF Out standing Unit Award,Good Conduct Medal,Air Reserves Meritorious Service Medal,National Defense Service Medal,Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal,Global War On Terrorism Service Medal,Army Overseas Service Riibbon,Small Arms Expert Markmanship Ribbon,Army Service Ribbon and several others.I currently am still working for the USPS in COTTAGE GROVE,OREGON.
