We're on a mission to make email so useful and beautiful that you can't wait to check your inbox every day. AOL brought email to the masses and we have one of the top email products in the US. Now we're stepping it up – and we need your help!

We're seeking a UX DESIGNER to take AOL Mail to the next level on web, tablets and smart phones. You'll be a key player in setting the product vision, not just drawing wireframes based on a stack of requirements dumped on your desk.

Think you have what it takes?

* Why, yes! I do have a strong understanding of UCD methodologies that I use to inspire my designs
* I love crafting elegant experiences that balance needs of people with business!
* I'm totally comfortable going out into the world for inspiration and know how to validate my designs
* Nothing beats building rapid prototypes to test with consumers
* I've got a degree (or equivalent experience) in Design, Computer Human Interaction or a related field and 3+ years designing web or mobile apps
* I dig creating detailed wireframes and flows to explain my design thinking
* I live to write detailed design specifications and work with developers to ensure the product meets my specs
* Oh and by the way, I've got an expert eye for the little details that make or break a great experience
* I'm a whiz making design docs with Illustrator, Omnigraffle, or Photoshop
* I can't wait to show you my portfolio demonstrating my best stuff!
* Did I mention that I'm a sharp mind with an emphatic soul?

* Our team is based in Palo Alto but we're flexible if you want to work from our San Francisco office a few days a week. We're also open to NYC candidates too!
