Hey, I’m Maite. I’m a student living in Johannesburg. I am a fan of education, music, and movies. I’m also interested in cooking and being outdoors trying new things.
As an upcoming History teacher my motto is “Uncover the past, understand the present” which basically explains what I aim to do in my lessons. I want my learners to know about what happened in the past which will help them understand the now and how the world came about the way it is today.
My goal is to inspire curiosity, creativity and critical thinking in learners, preparing them for a world that is ever-changing and shape civil citizen who are going to help in making the world a better place. They will also know how to speak for themselves since they will be taught to voice out their opinions during historical debates in the classroom.
