Mai Temraz is a Fulbright Scholar and MBA graduate. Currently, Mai is working as a research assistant on the California Advanced Supply Chain Analysis &Diversification Effort (CASCADE) at CSUSB.

Prior to that Mai was the former Mentorship & Women’s Inclusivity Program Manager at Gaza Sky Geeks (GSG), Gaza's first startup accelerator and co-working hub. Working with GSG Mai has created one of the most inclusive startup communities in the world: nearly 50% of the participants in its activities are women. During that time Mai also co-founded Gaza Geekettes, a new hub that aims to provide opportunities, innovation, job creation, startup support, online workshops, and inspiration to the “next generation of ladies” entering the market in Gaza.

Mai’s involvement in startups began through her passion for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. In 2014, she became the first female licensed amateur radio operator in Palestine. She also became one of few females in the Middle East to hold the highest status of amateur radio operators (Extra Level License) from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Mai launched her first venture in 2013 when she founded the Amateur Club, a training center and maker space that engages young minds in learning STEM.

In 2014, Mai was nominated a TechWomen Emerging Leader, and in 2015, Mai was awarded the bestentry-levelSTEM Executive at the Women in STEM conference in Dubai. In addition to that Mai received the 2015 Change Agent ABIE Award from Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing (GHC).

Mai was a regional ambassador for Technovation in Palestine and now in California, and a member of the Arab Women in Computing (ArabWIC) Mentorship Committee.
