ABOUT ME

I belong to Srinagar, J&K known as "paradise on earth." I have done M.Tech Remote Sensing and GIS and M.Sc. in Ecology and Environment. I also hava a Diploma in Geo-informatics (Remote Sensing, GIS and GPS) and Diploma in Computer Application (Hardware & Networking)

I have been associated with J&K State Remote Sensing Centre since 2005 and have gained a remarkable experience in ARCGIS, MapInfo, AutoCAD Map, Quantum GIS, ERDAS IMAGINE, ENVI etc. Ican very well use Handheld PDA with ArcPAD, Garmin handheld GPS.

During my 7-years journey in Remote Sensing and Geographical Information Science I have gained experience at a research level, planning, implementing, and leading Geoinformatics based collaborative projects.Georeferencing, Image Processing, Mosaicking, Subsetting, Spectral Analysis, Digitization, Data Entry, Raster Analysis, Vector Analysis, Terrain Analysis, Watershed Modeling, Geospatial Modeling, etc.Urban, Cadastral, Utility and Facility Mapping.Wildlife ecology, forest habitat assessments, vegetation species identification. Technical reports and research papers.Conducting Training sessions in Basics of Remote Sensing and GIS Guiding Trainees during their Dissertation Projects

• Young Scientist Award – 2010 by J&K Academy of Science.
• Winner in Visual Image Interpretation Competition conducted by Anna University, Chennai.
• Winner in Geoinformatics Quiz Competition conducted by Anna University, Chennai.
