Hip Hop has been long awaiting for an artist whose lyrical style is more than original but also a movement! “Maj,” which is short for Majic, was born and raised on the streets of West Philadelphia. His philosophy in the music industry is to always maintain originality. Because Maj is so musically gifted, he does not fit into any specific genre. One thing is for sure though, Maj is Hip Hop. His musical influences include most soulful artists from his mom’s era such as James Brown, Curtis Mayfield and George Clinton just to name a few. With a double CD to be released soon, Maj is certain to be the next influential voice in music.

To recognize that you have a calling by God is a task in and of itself but to accept this calling takes a special individual. You must be faithful, obedient, dedicated and fearless. Hopefully, through my music you will find the courage to do what you are called to do and no matter what you are up against be inspired by this phrase, “I’m ready!”.
