I am the president & founder of the Afghan Women's Association of Montreal, and I was a teacher/principal in Afghanistan. I also worked to support women's groups across the country. My focus was on domestic violence. Many of the projects I worked on came to an end with the arrival of the mujahadeen in Kabul, I then moved to Almaty in Kazakhstan. . I now live in Montreal, where I work on behalf of Afghani women. Our mission statement can be read at

In Montreal, we have been incorporated as a non-profit since 2002. Our diffent programs are listed onsite. We are always looking for ways to help.
