“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today”- Malcolm X. Education is very important to me. I have always strived to do my best at all that I do. I graduated from a private school in 2016 and went to Vance-Granville Community College, where I earned my Associates in Applied Science Degree in May of 2018. When I was a junior in high-school, I was a teacher’s assistant for Kindergarten. I then realized that I wanted to become a teacher to help shape and grow the minds of young children. I haven’t became a teacher yet, but I have worked with various age groups. Seeing the look on a child’s face when he or she understands the concept is so rewarding. I want children to grow to love education like I do, that is why I am willing to become a teacher to help them towards a right step in life. Right now, I am working in a daycare with one, two, and three year olds. Although it is not the intended age group that I want to work with, it is helping me see that children love to learn, even at a young age. I want to be the person that helps children grow their learning and hopefully a love for education.
