Makensie Hinkle

Makensie Hinkle is a full time student at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. She is in the Texas State School of Journalism and Mass Communication and currently in her 4th and final year. Makensie is predicted to graduate in May 2015 with a B.A. in Mass Communication with emphasis on electronic media. She currently works in the sports department for the school radio KTSW 89.9. At KTSW she has a number of duties including athlete and coaches interviews, game play by play, game analysis blogs, and sports updates. Makensie created her own radio segment for game day broadcasts called "Bobcat Most Likely," where she asks athletes out-of-the-norm questions to bring a fun vibe to interviews. Makensie covers a wide variety of sports including football, volleyball, basketball, softball and baseball. She is currently in her 3rd year of being 1 of 130 members for the school dance team, The World Famous Texas State Strutters. Makensie was elected by her Director and teammates as officer for the 2014-2015 season. She is also a member of the Women Broadcasters Associations and is a very enthusiastic fan of all Dallas sports teams.
