With a BA in English from the University of Illinois, Champaign, and an MFA in Playwriting from Columbia University, I’m a product of the best in public education and the most expensive in private education. I’m also an alumnus of the Portfolio Center before it gave birth to all the ad schools that now promise everyone a shot at glory turning art into a capitalist tool. Some of my advertising work has been inducted into the archives of the NY MOMA by the AICP, featured on NBC's TODAY SHOW and, well, other stuff. Among the plays I've written are: FIRE BABY, DRESSING THE GIRL, CHRISTINA WALTERS IS A BLOWJOB WHORE, BEYOND THE OWING, SMALLER, THE CHAIR and IRIS AND EARL. Of course, in the tradition of American Playwriting, almost none of them have been produced. Other jobs I've had: bookstore manager, horse farm grunt, journalist, waiter, pizza boy, dishwasher, ditch-digger, video store clerk.
