Violet Lopez (AKA) Malaysia L Born and raised where it all started the Hip Hop Culture "The Boogie Down Bronx.
At the age of 3 yrs old Malaysia can remember singing Every weekend and rehearsing one special song By Linda Ronsandt Title " Bewitch and bewilder" Now if any one has ever heard this song this clearly is a song that requires much needs skills to be sung but with practice and much determination Malaysia found a way to conquer this song from beginning to end only at the age of 3 years old.
This is where it felt real and began to open a chapter for someone that clearly had a purpose in life. At the age of 6 Malaysia began to discover the art of songwriting and composing melodies to create the Neo- sounds she would here in her head.She can recall listening to the instrumental sounds of smooth jazz on C.D.101.9 a very popular radio station at the time to inspire her to write songs that had a Hip Hop flow to it but somewhat with a smooth jazz appeal to it Thanks to CD101.9.
In the early 90's Malaysia had the honors to work with Josie Carr (CEO) Night Owl Studios NYC, Mixing Engineer features music in HBO Oringinal Movie "Life Support", Poison Clan (Shake what your mama gave yah). Along the ride Malaysia was introduced to Mecca (CEO) Of No Room Productions LLC. who has work with Mr. Paris Ford (Bassist for Rick James ) and has work with Singer/Songwriter Mrs. Sabrina Johnston. Malaysia has been a member in the praise and worship team of Life Church in the Lehigh valley.She has performed in different venues in NYC such as Liquids Acid as a solo artist and with Mecca and the band.
