Malcolm Jenkins
Entrepreneur and Philanthropist in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada
Hi, I’m Malcolm Jenkins—a retired entrepreneur, philanthropist, and passionate community advocate based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Known affectionately as "Mr. Canadian Tire," I recently retired after more than four decades of operating Canadian Tire in Prince Albert, where I became a familiar face through personal, humorous local advertising.
Throughout my career, I've passionately believed in giving back to the community that supports you. I’ve proudly funded numerous projects that enhance health, education, arts, and recreation. Notable contributions include the Alfred Jenkins Field House, named after my father, the E.A. Rawlinson Centre for the Arts, playgrounds, spray parks, and numerous sports and community initiatives across Prince Albert.
My philosophy of giving extends beyond financial donations. I actively participate in and support theatre productions—having co-founded the Broadway North Theatre Company—and even returned to the stage myself in a recent revival of Grease. I deeply believe in fostering local talent and creativity.
I’m honored to have received several recognitions, including the Saskatchewan Order of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal, King Charles III Coronation Medal, and multiple Citizen of the Year awards. However, my greatest reward is seeing the positive impact we can all make together.
I welcome connections with individuals passionate about community building, philanthropy, and the arts. Let’s continue creating positive change, one project at a time.
