Malcolm Jones

Born in Manchester, England 1954, son of architect, George Wilkes Jones. Attended Chorlton Grammar School 1965-70, supplementing art on weekends at Manchester University. Completed 'A' level art at Stockport College 70-71. Played in a band. Emigrated to Ottawa, Canada and married Nicola Sims (1975). Worked as an artist/printmaker until 1984. Graduated from the Ontario College of Art, Communication and Design program 1987. Freelance designer/illustrator and starting in the early 90's increasingly a consultant to high-technology enterprises, working extensively with Nortel Networks and Cognos. Returned to the UK to complete a Master of Arts at Sunderland University 2008, and currently working on a PhD at the School of Design, Northumbria University.
