Malcolm MacKillop is a Trial Lawyer and co-founder of Shields O’Donnell MacKillop LLP (SOM LLP), a boutique labor and employment law firm based in Toronto, Canada. He has extensive litigation experience in federal and superior trial courts and courts of appeals, administrative and quasi-judicial tribunals, and arbitration processes.

Malcolm MacKillop attended UNB Law School, where he graduated with his law degree. After graduating, he became a columnist for the St John's Evening Telegram, where he got the opportunity to speak about employment law. Malcolm is well-known for his expertise. He has been an author of leading employment law texts, including Employment Law Solutions, Creative Solutions, and Damage Control.

In addition to his work as a lawyer, Malcolm MacKillop is also passionate about philanthropy. This passion ultimately led him to found "Lawyers International Food Enterprise (“LIFE”)." LIFE is a non-profit organization with the objective of raising awareness of child poverty in Africa and raising money from the legal community to support the Stephen Lewis Foundation and World Vision.
