Malcolm Marco

Malcolm S. Marco is an event-driven investor and operator focused on merger arbitrage and special situations as the Founder & CIO of Art x Engineering Fund Mgmt. LP.

His finance career began within Goldman, Sachs & Co.'s Investment Banking division before joining Mason Capital Management in 2016.

In 2019, Malcolm joined T. Rowe Price to design, build, and manage the equity event-driven investment process within the newly formed liquid alternatives platform, within a managed risk-constrained framework, refining his experience in research, portfolio construction and risk management.

He also regularly participated in the firm’s monthly macro committee within the hedge fund unit, debating key macro drivers with senior equity and credit portfolio managers across the firm.

At Art X he integrates his unique breadth of experience, with rigorous legal and fundamental research when deploying capital into events often involving changes in corporate structure or control.

Malcolm holds a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University, where he also independently studied Activist Intervention directly under Professor Bruce Greenwald, the then Director of Columbia Business School’s Value Investing Program.
