From 1970 to 2000 Malcolm was part of the highspeed motorcycle and car traffic unit of the Metropolitan Police. In 2000 Malcolm retired with the rank of Sergeant and went on to train as a driving instructor with the British School of Motoring. Following this he helped initiate Red Driving School in London. In 2004 Malcolm moved to the Isle of Wight and launched Malcolm's School of Motoring.

Malcolm currently drives a fully equipped Nissan Micra TDCi.

Lessons are currently £24 per hour with the tenth hour being free of charge.
