Patricia Maldonado is an internationally recognized choreographer, movement artist, educator, and improvisation researcher whose work bridges dance, community engagement, intercultural dialogue, and creative inquiry. With over four decades of experience across the United States, Guatemala, Mexico, and Europe, she creates inclusive movement experiences that foster artistic expression, human connection, and personal transformation. Her work spans choreography, performance, improvisation research, teaching, community arts leadership, and cross-border cultural collaboration. She has presented performances, workshops, and research projects in theaters, festivals, universities, museums, cultural institutions, and community settings, working with both professional artists and non-dancers of all ages. Current artistic interests include improvisation as a creative practice, movement and aging, intercultural collaboration, and movement as a pathway to presence, imagination, and connection.
