Malek Idriss

Malek Idriss is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at ID4A, where he leads the development of automation tools and software solutions to advance design-to- manufacture processes. ID4A's first product, flobetter.com, is a specialized vertical search engine that helps designers accelerate production workflows, and will be followed-up with a robotics and automation facility to further that aim.

Malek has over a decade of experience in Industrial Design, Architecture and Technology. He was part of a cross-disciplinary team focused on new product development at Samsung Design America, and has had numerous design and technology research jobs while at school in Los Angeles. Malek received his Bachelor of Science degree in Design from Art Center College of Design, and his Masters of Architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture. Post-graduation, he was invited to co-teach at Sci-Arc's Emerging Systems, Technologies and Media Post-Professional Program.

Malek is passionate about solving problems at the intersection where industry and design meet technology. His latest interest is in emerging models for healthcare, and how design and data will change the experience of tomorrow's aging population.

Currently, Malek resides in San Francisco where ID4A’s headquarters and R&D Lab is based.
