The air racing by, the stinging rain, a force like no other that has captivated me since birth. The raw power of mother nature and her beauty I cannot get away from. Seeking severe weather has become more apart of who I am than anything, more than the football I have played since I was three years old and only recently gave up, more than the acting on stage that I love so dearly. They all pale in comparison to experiencing the unpredictable. For as long as I can remember, I have sat in front of the TV watching the weather channel on clear sunny days hoping that I would get to see the power of nature for myself. I would sit and watch storms come towards my small town and be bummed out when I watched them break apart before getting to my house on so many occasions, and then be ecstatic when they held together. As I grew older, I gained an understanding of the danger these storms posed; my love for storms matured into something other than just a joy ride but rooted in a curiosity to try and better understand the storms, how they form, and the threats they pose. Now at UGA, I get to continue that curiosity and set myself up for a job in a career field that I so deeply care and am passionate about.
