Malik Saad Hayat

Hi, I'm Saad Tiwana — a Software engineer and third-year Computer Science senior at COMSATS University Islamabad, focused on distributed systems, AI engineering, and infrastructure.

I architect microservices and distributed backends using Golang and Spring Boot, design event-driven systems with message queues and high-throughput RESTful APIs, and deploy containerized workloads on AWS with Kubernetes. Infrastructure as code with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and observability frameworks are a standard part of how I build. On the AI side, I design and ship LLM-powered pipelines and automation systems that go beyond wrappers and into production logic.

I contribute to open source projects in the CNCF and LFX ecosystems, and lead Verta, an open-source organization building developer tooling for Go engineers.

My team and I are currently building Orange — an agentic hiring platform for MENA and South Asia built on a dual-agent architecture, where purpose-built AI agents autonomously handle candidate screening, contextual matching, and employer-side pipeline management. The system executes intelligent, multi-step recruiting workflows end-to-end, eliminating the manual overhead across sourcing, evaluation, and coordination that traditional applicant tracking systems offload entirely to humans.
