Malizy J. Scruggs

Malizy Scruggs is founder and chief strategist at Christian Madison, a boutique public relations agency laser-focused on the image and beauty, health and wellness industries. Malizy strategically positions companies and brands in a way that helps them engage with their target audiences. And she has a body of work to prove it! She's worked with startup and established clients such as AT&T, Disney, Omni Hotels, Dallas Housing Authority, Cook Children's Health Care System, and Main Event Entertainment.

Prior to Christian Madison, she served as senior vice president of OCG PR where she led the company’s multicultural communications and public engagement practice areas. Under her leadership, the company’s revenue and client roster in these areas more than doubled in two years. Malizy’s OCG PR team was honored with the AdColor® MVP Award for its collaborative partnership and work on behalf of AT&T.

As an adjunct instructor, Malizy teaches business and communications courses. Her passion for branding, beauty and business (and her stint as a makeup artist) is the reason she launched the PR Chic by Malizy blog.

Malizy is a Dallas Leadership Pipeline graduate and member of the Public Relations Society of America. She holds a Bachelor’s in Communications from the University of Texas at Arlington.
