Hello! I'm Mallory. I'm a sophomore English major. I love to read and write fiction; I have a whole collection of chapters and scenes that have yet to be put into a cohesive story... oh, well. I'm also working on adding some more to my blog (which you can check out above). Let me know what you think!
Without further ado, I have decided that to pick only five interests on here is simply unfair, so I figure I'll elaborate somewhat.
To start, I'm an adventurer! I'm always striving to experience life to the fullest, and I'm always seeking out new adventures. I love being outside (especially on horseback), I love traveling and seeing new places and experiencing new things. I also, however, enjoy spending time at home with my family-- indulging in movies, watching UK basketball, feeding our various nerdy obsessions (Supernatural, Sherlock, and Harry Potter, to name a few), and riding horses.
I also spend a lot of my time listening to music and singing. Typically I like to sing the blues and soul-type music (pretty much anything I can wail to), but my favorite music to listen to is classic rock. My tastes in music are very eclectic, however, and my selection changes all the time depending on my mood. I love living and I'm always trying to do it to the fullest! I'm so thankful to God for where I am in my life.
My professional goals are to become an editor, publisher, author, or travel writer (hopefully I can write a novel somewhere along the way, as well). I know that these goals are not the easiest, but I know this class will provide me with valuable information on how to develop a professional voice online. Being professional in writing is an invaluable asset to any job search, but is crucial to my own path. I'm looking forward to a great semester! :)
