Barry Malone

Irish foreign correspondent who worked for Reuters from 2007 until 2013. For most of that time, I lived in and reported from east Africa and the Horn. I also worked for Reuters in Tunisia, Iraq and Libya and was part of its Libya war team that was a finalist for the International Pulitzer Prize. I recently joined Al Jazeera English, where I work as an online editor, though I still write occasional pieces of my own. You can find them here.

The photograph to the right is one I took of an aid worker taking a picture of a rotting cow carcass during the Somali famine in 2011. You can see more here.
