Jamarl Malone
Detroit, Michigan
My name is Jamarl “Chase Paypa” Malone. I have a natural ear for music that has been nurtured for over twenty years. I’m a musical engineer/producer as well as hip hop artist and have been making music for almost ten years. I can effectively make a song from concept creation to post production. In my time doing this I have gained a certain appreciation for the song making process based on originality. Hip hop is not the only kind of music that I like, nor have the talent to make. However, I have chosen this as my professional focus because I can express myself the best through it. This is what I believe that the hip hop was created for. Expressing the feelings that would have otherwise gone unheard forever. But done in a fashion in which you will be a compelled to listen and maybe even understand. This is what I stand for. Music that isn't about natural or trained vocal ability, but verbal creativity. Made with Instrumentals that are not centered around melodies but a great cadence. This is music that I represent and aim to protect. I feel like hip hop is losing its core foundation in this new generation of the genre. I want to speak the words that reconnect this music to its roots.
