Chief minister Mamata Banerjee during her trip to Nadia held meetings with administrative officials.She discussed areas like health,education,roads,building bridges,power,environment and other important issues with the officials.She assured that those who are entitled with 100 days job should be paid on that day and for that she has talked with few banks to handle their wages.

As Nadia is mainly an agriculture based district,the state is planning to open up 17 Kisan Mandi,17 cold storages for the protection of food grains.

She also assured to set up super speciality hospital in the district.Coming to National Highways,she said that immediate work will be started for highways and she also spoked to Prime minister regarding this.

After the meeting,she reached Krishnanagar and inaugurated three pair trains in the district.She also laid the foundation stone of Minority Bhavan.She said that Kalinarayanpur-Shantipur project has already started. According to her the so called Rail revolution has started two years ago.She said that she will set up 43 primary schools and will convert 40 Madhyamik schools to higher secondary schools.

She promised to set up IT colleges in Kaliagunj,Chapra and IT for girls in Krishnanagar and Ranaghat. She plans to convert Phulia into handloom centre,Mayapur into tourism centre and will set up 2 bottling plants in the district.

Union minister Mukul Roy,Panchayat minister Subrata Mukherjee,Madan Mitra and others were present during the flagging off function of train in Krishnanagar.
