Manal Allam

I just got the badge of 20 years of professional experience in the field of implementing and supporting IT systems. I started my career as a programmer in local institutions in Egypt, then joined GSK 16 years ago.

All I can say about my life in GSK is that it has been dynamic and always satisfied my appetite for new challenges. My responsibilities were a blend of Demand, Project Management, & Service Management.

In my latest role (Programme Manager), I have led the global integrations stream in the deployment of WORKDAY as a global template for HR replacing PEOPLESOFT. Was responsible for the downstream impacts (Integrations, Remediations, Decommissions) in 80 countries @ budget within £5.5mn via a team of 15.

Prior to that was the Projects Delivery Service Manager role, where I led a team of 7 Project Managers in different countries to deliver 20-30 projects yearly in Middle East, Africa, South Asia @ budget within £1mn.

Earlier, has led/participated in delivering/supporting diversified IT solutions that vary in size and nature (ERP, SFA, BI, HR), & that align to various business strategies (Mergers & Acquisitions, Sales force development, Reduce local IT footprint).

Right after the Egyptian revolution, I realized the significance of my responsibility towards my country so my children and grandchildren can see a better Egypt. I got certified to be a Psychologist which will allow me to contribute to the human growth of Egypt. My life coaching career is non-profit and is completely devoted to community service.

Better Me (TM) is the initiative through which I provide counselling sessions, group therapy, self development & parenting lectures, leadership, Psychodrama. I also participate in local youth development programs. I also run Meditation classes in Rehab City - Cairo.

I am married, I have two wonderful kids Omar and Farah.
