Madeline Tasquin

San Francisco, California

Canadian-Californian songwriter Madeline Tasquin (aka Mana Maddy) was born to an opera singer mother and gold miner father in the British Columbia logging town of Quesnel... She’s been singing ever since, and learned to play the piano by ear once her fingers could reach the keys. Madeline’s compositions are woven from a colourful range of influences, including the romantic era of classical music à la Rachmaninoff, parlour jazz, the gospel of Sam Cooke, French chanson, and the rhythmic interplay of West Africa.
