Dr. Manas Bajaj is the Co-Founder and Chief Systems Officer at InterCAX and serves on its Board of Directors. With over 11 years of technical experience, Dr. Bajaj is an expert in model-based systems engineering (MBSE), next-generation modeling and simulation technology, computer-aided design and engineering (CAD/CAE), open standards (STEP, SysML), and products and systems lifecycle management (PLM/SLM).

Dr. Bajaj leads research and product development at InterCAX which has introduced 4 leading commercial products (several others in beta) under his leadership. He is the originator of SLIM - a framework for model-based systems engineering of complex systems - and Knowledge Composition Methodology for simulation-based design.

Dr. Bajaj has led R&D projects, including development of advanced software products, for notable organizations such as DARPA, NASA, Lockheed Martin, Sandia National Laboratories, Ford, Raytheon, and Rockwell Collins. Dr. Bajaj has co-developed a SysML and MBSE training program that has been attended by over 2000 system engineers (since 2008) across top-tier organizations.

Dr. Bajaj is actively involved in the development and deployment of international standards for next-generation systems and products. He has played a key role in the development of (1) Systems Modeling Language (SysML) international standard for systems engineering with the Object Management Group (OMG), and (2) ISO 10303-210 (STEP AP210) international standard for electromechanical systems with PDES Inc. Dr. Bajaj was selected as one of the few international experts by the OMG to author the OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) certification program. As an internationally recognized expert, Dr. Bajaj mentors and coaches organizations in model-based systems engineering methods, standards, and software.

Dr. Bajaj earned his PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta USA), and his BTech in Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India. He has won several awards; delivered invited talks; authored papers, reports, and whitepapers; and presented at leading international conferences and workshops. He is a member of International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) and a contributor to the Object Management Group (OMG) and PDES Inc. working gr
