My 12 years of working within the Federal Public Sector enabled me to utilize my skills such as communications, accuracy, attention to detail, multi-tasking and meeting tight deadlines. Utilizing these skills allowed me to ensure that clients were not subjected to undue hardship in determining eligibility for their pension entitlements; Guaranteed Income Supplement and Allowance for the Survivor. In addition to being able to simultaneously use multiple computer systems to approve these pensions, the personal satisfaction I received from helping a low income, sometimes bereaved senior was fulfilling and heartwarming.

During my period of employment within the Federal Public Sector, I had the opportunity to utilize my resourcefulness and problem solving skills. Some low income seniors needed services that I was not able to provide, however I was able to provide the senior with additional community resources to assist them, These resources included, "Ministry of Housing and Social Development","SAFER" (Seniors Shelter Aid), as well as information on BC Transit's Bus Pass Program.

I have extensive experience with various computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as effectively communicated through written reports and oral presentations to co-workers and supervisors. I interpreted legislation and policy in combination with sensitive and confidential documents with the utmost professional discretion. Many of my responsibilities included organizing and prioritizing various tasks and duties while adhering to tight timelines and due dates. Not only did I assist in the training
and orientation of current and new staff members, but I also developed a training manual to help align work processes. Both work situations and proper training have given me the experience and patience that has helped me to efficiently assist angry and frustrated clients.

I believe mutual respect allows for great collaboration and creates effective working relationships with colleagues. By providing my internal clients with quality service, they were able to provide service excellence to our external clients. My positive and productive attitude allows me to embrace change as a challenge and to adapt to any fast paced work environment.

I am able to work independently with minimal supervision or be a dynamic team player in a group atmosphere.

I was also a part of several working groups and committees that he
