I'm a transplanted Brit, living The Life Bilingual in Greece for the past 25 years. Long of limb, broad of beam, open of mind and impatient of nature, I can sometimes wreak havoc without meaning to. But I MEAN well....

I like the Greeks. I love their lust fo life, their too loud voices, their sense of community, their inventiveness, their unashamed Mediterranean nature, their appetite for... well, pretty much everything.
Let's face it, after a quarter of century here, I'd be a fool (or a masochist) if I didn't.

I like to think I'm pretty flexible and have assimilated with Greek society, without abandoning my innate Englishness (though my definition is probably very different from that of certain others - but that's another story for another day).

When it comes down to basics, we're all just people. Our differences are just details.
