Mandisa Balungile Jwara is a 21 year old young black woman who was born and raised in Kwa Zulu Natal in a small town called Bergville. I have 3 siblings 1 brother and 2 sisters and we were raised by both of our parents. I am currently doing my 3rd in being a teacher and I specialize in Geography, Physical education and Natural Sciences. I fell in love with Geography back in high school because it led to personal growth that helps individuals to develop critical thinking skills, and enhance their spatial awareness.
My aim is to foster a sense of curiosity about the world to my learners. Back in my childhood days, I was a victim of bullying based on body shaming , which led me to choose Physical education as to foster positivity and overall improve their health and fitness level. I have been always fascinated by the human body and all the system taking place there and my curiosity made me to choose this subject.
I am a very photogenic and an out going person, who likes spending time listening to music, because I find it therapeutic and helps me to escape reality a bit. I enjoy watching those doctor channel where they dealing with extreme health conditions. One of my favorite sport is Net ball, because it forms a great platform for socializing. I am currently developing passion into reading books as one of my hobbies. I believe in making a difference in my community, knowing I come from a place with limited access to computers and internet, hence I have offered to help the grade 12s with their tertiary applications.
My desire to encourage people to embrace learning as a lifetime journey is motivated by my firm belief in the ability of education to serve as an agent for positive change. I passionately support inclusive and open access to education for all, picturing a society in which everyone has access to high-quality education regardless of background.
