I am an emerging health researcher and artist facing life head on. The challenge of approaching new problems from different angles and devising creative solutions to address them is what keeps me awake at night. Because of this, I have embraced graduate studies and the University environment thoroughly, although when I complete my PhD in Nursing (University of Alberta) next year, I will be thrilled!

Through my PhD research, I leverage the communicative and emotive powers of the arts and integrate this with rigorous health research in an innovative way. The goal of my work is to identify whether adequate research about a health condition and its management exist, then find creative ways to relay this important information to parents and families to help them manage their health in a way that they find satisfactory.

My future plans include post doctoral training, obtaining a tenure track faculty position at a research intensive university, and developing a program of research to satiate (or feed) my endless curiousity!
