He finished his post-graduation in Psychiatry from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow; in the year 1999. During this period, he performed a study on the achievable changes in the brain in depressive disorders. At the Final Examination (M.D.), he was granted the Gold Medal for best efficiency.

Consequently, he was awarded the DNB Psychiatry degree from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.

He has worked at RML Hospital, New Delhi, for three years where he was looking after General Adult Psychiatry apart from Special Clinics for Children and Adolescents, Sexual Problems, and Elderly People.
