“A natural creative with infectious enthusiasm, an abundance of positivity & limitless problem-solving techniques"
The picture, which I took whilst travelling through France was chosen to represent that no matter where I am or what I am doing, I remain focused and aware at all times.
I love to take photographs, design, art direct, create sound, graphic identity & lead projects. However, I am equally fulfilled running an office, department or empowering others in education. I value being part of a team and contributing.
I thrive under high pressure, always deliver excellence and never miss deadlines. I always go the extra mile. My employers and co-workers can verify this. https://www.linkedin.com/in/sambrown2304/
From getting a magazine back to the UK for production on time to avoid penalty charges to managing 20,000 customers a day in the worlds busiest & innovative London flagship store in Regent Street, I have proved I am reliable, consistent and dedicated to excellence.
As art editor, my favourite photoshoot for the underground music publication DJ Mag was with Rodger Sanchez in a very exclusive Marylebone hotel. International DJ commitments meant we only had an hour in that location or nothing. Sometimes we had to shoot in airports or train stations!
If I had I used the backdrop of the hotel it would have looked like an interior design magazine cover. Luckily, when I entered the hotel I had come round the back way and found luscious bushes. Now all I had to do was persuade Mr Sanchez to get into the bushes. When I described why and what we would achieve with my infectious enthusiasm he couldn't wait.
The picture looked like we were in the jungle & was our strongest cover to date. The boldness and contrast of colours used became the theme for the rest of the year.
Running the Graphics Department within the Media Centre of NESCOL allowed me to draw on all my prior experience to support staff & students to achieve their very best. I loved making a difference.
Teaching, assessing and verifying in Scotland's largest further education establishment I was able to support 15-75-year-old learners and up-skill local businesses. I enjoyed taking students from their initial interview through induction to being their guidance and subject teacher leading them to higher education or employment.
Whatever I do, I give 100%. I love life & people even more. When supported we are capable of unlimited greatness. My skill set makes that happen for others.
